video clip filenames not appearing in iMovie

I've made many movies in iMovie. Today I go to put another movie together and while I am browsing the video clips via My Media in my Photos library, iMovie is not showing me the filename of the clip as I hover over it like it usually does. I always go through my clips in Photos, jot down the filenames and then put them together in iMovie. I can't do that very easily now without seeing the filename of each clip. How do I get them back??
