I just did the new Iphone update and when I'm on the phone, I can't hear my text messages when I receive them. My phone is on loud and I checked all the settings.
Is there a way for me to hear my messages while on the phone?

I just figured it out!!
Settings>notifications>messaging> then toggle off allow notifications and then turn it back on
Worked on my phone but no luck on my husbands phone. Hopefully Apple will respond.

Looks like Apple may have listen to user(s) who were complaining about hearing text alert while on a phone call.
They may have disabled the alerts while on a call.
I’m also having this issue but no luck finding anything about it, must of been the iOS update.
