Whatsapp videos not playing

Hi all.

I have an iPhone XS running iOS 14.2.

The issue i've recently been having is that the WhatsApp videos aren't playing within the app. I can see that a video is there when I click on it and it shows a still from start of the video.

They run ok after I've downloaded them.

Have done everything...deleting and re-installing WhatsApp....restoring the iPhone....nothing has worked.

Any ideas?
