Pairing problems

Can I pair a series 1 Apple Watch with an iPhone 11?? If not, what phone model CAN I pair this watch with? I’d hate to think it’s garbage now

Yes you can but you can't update the watch to WatchOS7 as the series 1 watch will only update to WatchOS6.
