Convert active timeline from 24fps to 60fps

Can I convert an active timeline (I am still dating), from 24fps to 60 fps without ay adverse affects?

In the timeline currently, there's 24fps video, 60 fps video etc., lots of still , VO etc. If this works fine, how do I do it? AND will I lose any effects etc?

Grrr ... Dropping 29.97 fps onto a 24 fps project timeline ... and NOT wanting the the timeline to change frame rates? Grrr. So I have a 24 fps project timeline. I'm dropping a 29.97 fps clip onto that timeline ... and the timeline is converting to 29.97 fps. I'm confused. Always in the past when I dropped any frame rate onto a timeline I've chosen to be 24 fps, the clip coming onto that timeline has to convert to the 24 fps. Or I just have to do a Rate Conform. Now the clip is changing the frame rate of the timeline. I'm going to go make myself an ice cream cone while I wait for someone to explain this to me... Ben

Conforming 24fps to 25fps I have some fairly detailed projects that I may need to convert from 24fps to 25fps. They are mainly 24fps footage, with occasional crops and zooms on the footage and other media (animations, graphics, etc). My first thought was copy and paste the timeline into a 25fps project, but noticed that automatically speeds it up. I want to keep the same speed and overall duration. But from my tests, retiming the sequence back to the original duration looks to be a major headache with alignments getting mixed up and the gaps I have in the timeline creating complications. So I thought perhaps export the 24fps master, reimport (with audio separate) and retime that way in a 25fps timeline. However, I notice that the optical flow option in the Frame Sampling setting of the Rate Conform dropdown seems to create all new frame, instead of just the 25th frame? Is that so? What would others do? thank you, Ross

Double timeline I occasionally have the task of trimming a video by timecode. Videos are two hours long and I feel uncomfortable when I need to edit/delete a certain piece, because the video timings shift in time. Is there any way to edit the video and see the original and current timings?

You can’t change the timebase of a project. Make a new project the way you want and copy everything from one project to the other.
