how can i disable find my iphone to do a sceen replacement without erasing data

cracked my screen on my iphone 8 & want to replace the screen without erasing my data, it wont let me back up my phone bc the screen its cracked.

iPhone 8, iOS 13

Too late to think about backup now.

You have to hope your data is still there after the replacement.

If you remove the device from your account after you erase it, Activation Lock will be turned off. This allows another person to turn on and use your device.
