Unable to install OS X Lion

This macbook pro a1278 came to us wiped out. I've tried internet recovery. I've tried formatting and erasing the disk entirely, since there were no backups there anyway. No matter what I've tried I get an error. I'm adding photos

Lion is not a free download. You can purchase Lion at the Online Apple Store. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.

Be sure to use Safari for the download.

A1278 was a discrete model and is a non-Retina Mid 2012 13-inch. No disks.

Check the recovery hey combos in this Apple article. For internet recovery it can downaod different options.

How to reinstall macOS from macOS Recovery - Apple Support

If you are not doing so, I recommend you connect the computer to the internet using a network cable instead of trying to do this wirelessly. Fewer issues.

The model you have (since model numbers were reused across build years) could have

shipped with a system DVD when new, and never upgraded to Lion 10.7.5. Some users

who liked Snow Leopard 10.6.8, kept their MacBook there ~ if it couldn't go past 10.7.5.

And some aspects of SN 10.6.8 were preferred over Lion.

Good luck!🌤🎣
