WhatsApp notification delay

I'm using Iphone XR from the past 10 months. My WhatsApp notifications are delayed on lock screen, Some time i didn't get messages until i open whatsapp even though my background app refresh is on.

And while in whatsapp call if i close recent apps call ends.

Can any one help me to solve this ?

Follow each step accordingly if issue persists

  1. Turn notifications off and on again
  2. Check for updates for the app, you should make sure it is updated - if it is skip to next step
  3. Uninstall and reinstall the app
  4. Contact Whatsapp for further support
