My IPad is only texting from my email and not my phone number. How can I add my phone number?

Do you own iPhone? If you do, you use Continuity Services per the directions in this link --> Use Continuity to connect your Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple Watch - Apple Support
If you do not own iPhone, you cannot text from iPad to phone numbers or anyone who is not an iPhone/iPad user.
