You either need the Apple ID and password, or the original purchase receipt and matching ID and a discussion with the folks at Apple.
Activation Lock shows a hint for the Apple ID, with a letter from the username and the email domain.
Activation Lock is a theft deterrent, and it wouldn’t be a deterrent if it were easy to bypass.
