I am just wondering if my software will work when I purchase a new MacBook Pro. It's about time. Mine is from mid 2012 running OS Sierra. But I would like to still be able to use my Adobe CS6, my Quicken 2007, and Office 2011.

No. Office 2011 is 32 bit and Catalina requires apps to be 64 bit. Office 2019 and Office 365 work with Catalina.

You might want to investigate the free, open source, alternative to MS Office: LibreOffice. It can open, read, edit and save MS Office documents in the MS Office format or it's own format. Also, Apple's Pages, Numbers and Keynote can open MS Office files, read and edit them and save as either MS Office files or as their own files.
Thanks for that explanation. I suppose that I am just going to have to bite the bullet and upgrade my software too, if I get a new computer. Any idea if the other 2 softwares I use are 64 bit?
