Link from email problem in Safari

I receive a weekly email that contains a link to a website. Clicking the link on my iPhone or iMac opens the web page correctly. However, clicking the link on my iPad the web page opens and then is immediately replaced by another page within the web site. The link had worked for many months prior on the iPad and then started this. Both the iPhone and iMac links work as expected. I have cleared the cache and web data for Safari, closed and reopened both Safari and Mail and have rebooted the iMac. But the problem still exists. I've looked at the web link and it is the same that works on the iPhone and iMac. I've also forwarded the email to friends and it works as expected. So the problem is unique to my iPad. It acts as if something is stuck in cache but clearing it has had no effect. Any ideas?

No, this only occurs when using the link from the email and only on the iPad. That link works from the email on the iPhone and the Mac as expected. The problem only occurs when clicking the link on the iPad. Other than the problem opening this link, the web site, works as expected. I’m going to try sending the link in a different email and then test it on the iPad.

I'm convinced that the problem is within Safari cache. Going directly to the home page and selecting the page from their menu results in the same problem. And, again, this only happens on this one iPad, not on other iPads, iPhones, Macs, Windows, etc. So the problem has nothing to do with the email, the link from the email, only within Safari on this particular iPad.

I have cleared the history and website data, removed all Website data via the advanced option in Safari settings. Nothing changes. My next thought is to reset the iPad back to factory settings and reload from the backup. But, will the backup also contain the corrupt cache?
