Thank you. Unfortunately I already went thru those troubleshooting steps (device turns on but gets stuck during start-up)
and then....unknown error codes 9, 4005, 4013, or 4014 when restoring your iOS device.

Also, per other troubleshooter, I deleted the older update file on OS drive (possibly corrupt?) to force iTunes to download the most current update.
It's just restore/update loop from ****.
