My Apple TV app no longer working on Samsung tv

My Apple TV app just stopped opening, I removed it to read it but in the App Store it won’t open to read either. My firmware is up to date and every other app is working. Any ideas of how to fix it would be appreciated.

Yes, there seems to be an ongoing issue with the Apple TV App on some Samsung TVs. The App simply does not open or respond in any way. and if deleted, people have found it cannot be re-downloaded.


No solution from either Samsung or Apple at this time however.


If only for reference, can you provide your TVs model number?

I have this same issue with my new Samsung TV. I watched AppleTV all day yesterday and today it doesn't work. My model is UN55Tu8000FXZA Samsung support was useful. Used the unplug, wait 30 seconds etc. Tried deleting the app and now I cannot reinstall it. Samsung support very unhelpful, although polite.
