Controlling restrictions on a kid account

Hi,

I have a family group with a kid account. The kid uses an iPod touch. I've got restrictions setup, including a PIN, on the iPod touch. I had assumed I would also be able to control those restrictions from the adult accounts in the family group, but when I go in to the restrictions via the family group on a device using my appleid, it looks like a brand new setup. So - can someone help me understand whether the restrictions are device-only, or are account based across multiple devices? How _should_ I be doing this?

I want to get this right while they have an iPod touch since I suspect that more Apple devices are in their future.

Thanks!

-Jeff

Have you tried having the child sign out of iCloud, restart their device, and sign back in to see if that syncs the restrictions to your device?

See if anything here helps.
