Refunds

I recently requested a refund in an app, because I didn’t mean to purchase it. In no time Apple got back to me and said they had refunded my purchase... although I checked my account and saw the same amount as before. I scanned the gift card it had come from... and nothing came if that either. Please help me find my refunded money...
