Logitech Slim Folio Keypad Syncing Issue

I have a Logitech Slim Folio Keypad for my iPad that stops working every few sentences or just a few words. When it does this, its like it loses connectivity and the iOS keypad pops up. Then if I wait a little, the iOS keyboard goes away again and my Logitech keyboard will work. Its intermittent and keeps repeating. This has been going on since the beginning of the year, and I now finally have time to deal with this thing. Running current version of iOS, cleaned the magnetic strip that makes the connection, hard restart. Same issues.

Anyone else experience this and know how to fix it?
