icloud photo backup

Hello,

My photos aren't updating from my phone to icloud. I have updated my storage and backed up my phone but they still aren't uploading. Please can someone suggest what to do.

iPhone 8, iOS 13

Go to settings > Apple ID > iCloud and make sure Photos are turned on.
