Will not load after software update. Get message ‘Quit installer and restart’.

That done, same message.

iMac, macOS 10.12

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?


Hold alt key on power up.


Either of those work?
