When I dial a number and send my screen goes black and non responsive to touch
the call connects but must repeatedly hit the power button to access the screen
called Apple 2 times and still having the same issue..,,anyone else having same issue??? Solved this problem????

i have both on my phone but 2 other members of my family have same screen protectors on theirs with no issues on their XRs but my case is unique to my phone...guess I could try and remove my case see if takes care of problem...
I would check. It would help troubleshoot the sensor. Is there a notch cut in the screen protector, just like the iPhone notch is? If not, then it is a good chance that something is blocking it. Remove the case, then test a phone call from there.
Do you have a case on the iPhone, or a screen protector that could be interfering with the proximity sensor?
