I posted the 6 commands in Terminal that Tacoma posted and it worked for me. Was scarred at first but it removed it.
It’s not a virus, just annoying malware.
Download and run the free version of Malwarebytes. You do not need to upgrade to any of the paid versions.
Then how do I get rid of this homepage on Chrome
Open Preferences in Chrome and browse to here, then change it. I'm using the Dutch language, but you should be able to find it.
I downloaded and ran the program it did nothing to help my issue

Still can't get rid of we know.ac with Malwarebytes.
