iPhone 11 keeps getting disabled!

PLEASE! I need advice on why this keeps happening! My husband's iPhone 11 has now been disabled TWICE in less than 3 days!!! Yes, he knows the passcode. No, he has no idea what he's doing to cause it.

Here's the scenario..... he keeps his phone in his shirt pocket while he's outside mowing the yard, weedeating, etc. I don't know if the screen touching his body is causing the passcode to be entered wrong while it's in his pocket, or what. But I need HELP before I lose my mind and lose it on my husband!!!!!

Hey there jlwhite225,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. I understand your husband’s iPhone is getting disabled unexpectedly. I’ll be happy to help with this.

If this is happening from when his iPhone is his shirt pocket and while doing yard work, it could be from his iPhone touching his skin and entering the wrong code. To see if this is the issue, turn Raise to Wake off while doing yard work. Moving around while doing yard work could trigger the Raise to Wake function on his iPhone. Go to Settings > Display & Brightness and turn this off. See if the issue returns.

Other basic steps that can help include restarting his iPhone:

Restart your iPhone

Turning the passcode feature off while doing yard work: Go to Settings > Touch ID & Passcode > Turn Passcode Off to do this.

Even though it sounds like you know what do to once the device becomes disabled, I did want to pass along this article just in case:

If you forgot the passcode on your iPhone, or your iPhone is disabled

Regards.
