how to stop iMovie exporting project, when it is unwanted
Wrong setting for a iMovie project. Half way thru, I want to stop exporting the project. But no X to cross

If you click on the little radial progress dial in the upper right of your screen there should be an x where you can stop the export.
Otherwise, just Force Quit iMovie. (Apple logo/Force Quit/iMovie)
