kids phones not uploading to my Family Plan iCloud

Hi - my kids' phones says 'iCloud storage is full" - but we have a Family Plan and pay for 1TB - how do they change it so that their phones automatically upload to the family's iCloud plan? Even better, is there a way of them keeping their photos separate... but still as part of my iCloud?

Thanks

Phil

Did you invite them to share the storage?

Those 2 things contradict each other.

When they are sharing storage with their own Apple ID, their photo libraries are their own, but the can contribute to the shared family album.
