Draging photos from Photos window to Sidebar Album failing intermittently...not working at all now.

Have you considered creating a smart album for the year in question:
Then you can select all of the photos in the smart album and drag to the album of your choice. Or just use smart albums.
The photos are organized. Im trying to place a year's photos in a separate album. Expected to be able drag&drop from Year's View. Guess you have to go to Month View double click which takes you to All Photos View and hand pick. Done it for 16 years worth of photos.
