On Windows 10: iPhone XR will no longer back up to iTunes after upgrading to iOS 13.4 and iTunes 12.10.5.12 (3/24/2020)


Error Message:

"iTunes could not back up the iPhone "iPhone Name" because the backup session failed."


Note: The rest of the sync works correctly.



Last night, before updating the iOS and iTunes, backup worked correctly.


Anyone else having this problem? Anyone found a fix yet?

well I didn't check on this but it seems more than 1 thing is broken in iTunes. I have an Apple Music subscription but I can't play any music. It always skips to the next song. I hope Apple is working on it to fix this asap. To backup your iPhone i would try to use iCloud instead.
