Problem with activity app

for example, I walk 45 minutes per day, and I use the app exercise, so the green circle should be completed everytime i walk over 30 mins, but it just arrives to a little more than half the circle.

does anyone know why?

I use the app activity and set it to "walk outdoor" and when I walk like 40 mins, the screen of the exercise says 40.00 mins, but the circle doesn't complete.

THe Exercise ring dosen’t move 1:1 with the length of a workout. It measures time that you were “working out”- time where your heart rate was up and your body was working harder than normal. So in the case of a walk, if you go at a slower pace, the exercise ring won’t fill in.
