Wiping a broken iPhone

Hi there.

My iPhone 8 dropped and is smashed beyond repair. It does turn on, but the screen is just a mess of colours. My laptop won’t recognise it when I plug it in so i can’t access via iTunes to erase, and I can’t erase it via I cloud as it appears not to be connected to the internet.

is there any other way to erase everything on it so I can sell for parts or something?

many thanks in advance.

iPhone 8, iOS 13

Sorry no. To wipe an iPhone you need to interact with its screen.

Regards

Giulio
