MacBook Air display not working

Hi everyone!

I've got an early 2014 MacBook Air 13" and I recently replaced its battery w/ a new one. I thought a clean install of Mac OS would fix the issue but apparently it didn't so I ended up w/ the exact same issue afterwards. Although connecting to an external display works just fine but its screen is just not operating at all. I got told that it might me a backlight fuse.

Any help?

Regards,

Felix

Try an SMC reset and a PRAM reset (hold the PRAM reset for at least three chimes).

I find most display issues turn out to be faulty Display Assemblies or liquid damage to the Logic Board, although a bad backlight fuse on the Logic Board is also a possibility (fuse is not user replaceable).

Take the laptop to an Apple Store for a free examination. Or take it to an Apple Authorized Service Provider to be examined and quoted a price for repair.
