How to update MS Office without repurchasing license?

Just upgraded to Catalina. 32-Bit apps don't work anymore. I purchased MS Office 2008. Yes, it's outdated but there is nothing wrong with it. Is there a way to bring it up to a 64-bit without purchasing it again?

No.

You will have to purchase the current version of Office (2019) or subscribe to Office 365.

There are not updates available for Office 2008 to make it 64 bit.

Or you can look into an alternative such as Libre Office.
