Adding Shuffle to iTunes

My shuffle has died so I want to add a new one but it does not connect to iTunes when i plug it in and there is no option within iTunes to sync/add a new shuffle!!!

Hello,

The iPod shuffle should automatically appear when you plug it into your computer.

If your computer doesn't recognize your iPhone, iPad, or iPod - Apple Support

Thanks for reply but it doesn’t appear on iTunes when I connect. Orange light is on the shuffle when it’s in the dock but won’t appear on PC. No option allowed to add device in top menus. I’m on a Mac 😳

Hello,

I am confused, you state “won’t appear on PC” then proceed to say “I’m on a Mac”. Do you have a Macintosh or a Windows PC?
