I got a new Apple watch yesterday. I go to pair it with my phone and it says it needs to update first so I press update. It begins to update and then eventually says there is an error with installing the update the update. I have tried restarting my watch, my phone, I’ve tried installing the update multiple times. I have no idea how to fix it and I can’t use my watch until it is updated

I don’t know what the watch has now, but I’m trying to update it to 5.3.4 I think. And my iOS is a 12.2. The Apple says it should be able to update with a 12 or later

What version of software is on the watch and which model of phone and ios version are you using?.
my apple watch series 2 wont update and its new. it hasnt besn paired with my phone yet
