Separating data on multiple devices using the same Apple ID

Hi there!

i currently hold 2 different devices - an iPhone 11 Pro Max and an iPad Air 2. They are both signed into the same Apple ID account. However, I do not want to synchronise information such as photos and videos between them as my mum is using the ipad for herself.

is there a way to prevent sync from happening while maintaining the same Apple ID account?

Go to Settings/Your Name/iCloud and turn off all iCloud syncing. That will stop most of the data from syncing. You will get each others Messages messages and FaceTime calls unless you sign out of in Settings.
