song not available (on iPad)

I have a composition created in Finale that I exported an diff sound file from. I imported the file into iTunes and sync'd into iPhone and iPad. The piece plays fine on the Mac and iPhone, but the iPad gives the error message "This song is not currently available in your country or region."

My composition created the file so why won't just the iPad play it back? Since I created the file (not ripped from a CE) so it should not have to worry about regional questions.
