Reminders App - location based reminders not working

When I set a reminder to go off when I arrive or leave my house, it doesn't work. I made sure my home map is set, and turned Location Services to "while using the app." I even tried making sure the app is running in the background (which shouldn't make a difference, but just checking).

I tested it many times and it has never worked once. What gives? Location Services doesn't have an "Always" option for this app. I imagine that's the problem? (For example, my security camera always knows when I leave and return. It needs location services to be set to always for that to work.)

I have an iPhone 7 with ios 13.1.2.

Thanks for the post! I understand you're not receiving location-based Reminders, and I'm happy to see if I can help.

Checking your settings was a great start. Try tapping Settings > Privacy > Location Services. Then, scroll all the way down to the bottom and tap System Services and then make sure that Location-Based Alerts is toggled on. Then, test it out to see if that's cleared things up: Location Services & Privacy

"Location-Based Alerts: Your iPhone and Apple Watch will use your location in order to provide you with geographically relevant alerts, such as a reminder to call someone when you get to a specific place, when to leave for your next appointment, or an app or shortcut recommendation based on where you currently are."
