Close private browsing mode

Help turning off private browsing mode. I can’t imagine the convoluted cyber runaround Apple is giving. Thanks. Dealing with the new IOS upgrade is like my new full time job! Iphone7S

In safari, touch the icon down at the bottom right corner (looks like two boxes overlapping one another). Then the Private button should be at the bottom left. If it has a box around it, this means that private browsing mode is in use. So, deactivate it by touching it and you should be good.
