Open the Photos app and tap on a photo. It will display the location, date and time taken at the top of the screen. Is this what you are looking for?

If you want the date actually displayed on the image itself you will need to use a photo editing app that will put it there. The built-in camera and editing capabilities won't do that.

Do you have a suggestion as to the photo editing app we could use? Looking in the App store, none of them say they will do that.

Better yet. Is there an camera app that will automatically do it for us?
