"Powerpoint cannot launch"

I've been trying to run powerpoint on my MacBook Pro Touch, running macOS High Sierra, but a message keeps coming up that says "Powerpoint cannot launch". I have re-installed office 365, yet it's not working. I've been working on this machine for more than 6 months and it was working fine. Solutions please.

MacBook Pro 15", macOS 10.14

Two tests...

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?

To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...

Open System Preferences>Users & Groups, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.

Does it work in the new account?
