Time Machine question

I assume that deletions made from the computer after a complete Time Machine backup, will remain in the Time Machine file, and can be restored at any time. Can I expect that once the Time Machine drive is full, that such deleted files may be deleted from the Time Machine file at that time?

Any time that Time Machine needs additional storage, it will invoke the garage collection routine to remove files which have been deleted. With Time Machine the only files you can be sure to be able to restore are this that are still stored on the computer.

A Time Machine backup is only guaranteed to restore the disk to the same as it was at the time of the disaster. It is not archive software.
