cant send sms messages from ipad
I just got a new iPad, 6th generation, but cannot send SMS messages.

As long as you have an iPhone, use this link as your guide to set up Continuity Services: Use Continuity to connect your Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple Watch - Apple Support
If you do not have iPhone, you will not be able to send or receive SMS/MMS messages from your iPad.
