GarageBand records Zoom audio slowed and lower in pitch

I've been using Zoom to interview people while also simultaneously running Garage Band to record audio of their voices. However, the track I get in Garage Band seems to be automatically slowed. Our voices sound slow and lower in pitch than they are in real life.

How do I get Garage Band to record Zoom audio without distorting it, and what can I do with these audio files to speed them back up to their natural pitch?
