Apple Watch monthly challenge not awarded; rings paused

My fitness challenge for December 2025 was to close all three rings 28 times, which implies a 3 day “buffer”. As per the screenshot, I used the 3 day buffer but also needed to pause my rings for a flight. The fitness app awarded a perfect month for Move, but not the December challenge award. It seems that the fitness app doesn’t count the paused rings in calculations (which is correct) but does not accommodate for the day in the monthly challenge (which seems incorrect). Anybody else experiencing this issue and any idea how to retrospectively correct this?
