Apple Wallet: Displaying pass block Express Card payment?

Hi all,

My local bus company has recently enabled Express Travel Card on its payment machines. I actually use a Wallet pass to travel on this provider which can’t be added as an Express Card.

My question is : if I have my Wallet pass shown on screen before I place my phone near the card reader will this effectively ‘block’ the Express Travel Card from being used as payment, because I don’t want that to happen, and I don’t want to have to turn Express mode off each time I travel with this provider ?
