This is a user to user support site. The people responding on this support forum are users like you. We have no special access to Apple information or your accounts, so unfortunately all we can do is guide you to the information Apple does provide. Apple, however, does not have much on its criteria for refusing refunds. Below are two sections from the U.S.A. version of Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions - Legal - Apple Media Services - Apple You can see if the terms are different for where you live by clicking on this link https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/ then select your location and then your language.

- "All Transactions are final."

Apple's terms of purchase in the USA are, "All Transactions are final," ( Legal - Apple Media Services - Apple section B), but check the terms for your country. Even if Apple does not outright say in a country that sales are final, they may say that refunds are only made to remedy defective or unavailable product. In other cases Apple may make limited refunds solely at their discretion and as an exception. Apple can also simply say no without having to provide a reason. I understand this can be frustrating but by using the service you agree to the terms.

- "From time to time, Apple may suspend or cancel payment or refuse a refund request if we find evidence of fraud, abuse, or unlawful or other manipulative behavior that entitles Apple to a corresponding counterclaim." Remember that Apple has no way of removing a purchase from your device. They have to trust you are being honest when asking for a refund. It may be that certain refund requests might be considered suspicious or excessive.

According to https://reportaproblem.apple.com/static/en-us/privacy.html , Apple uses an automated system to detect fraud. Your request may not have met the automated system’s criteria for a refund. In the article Apple says, “If you disagree with your final decision, contact dpo@apple.com “ However, according to user posts on this web site the result is confusing because you receive an automated response talking about privacy issues, not refunds. In that case:

If you don't see one that handles your issue then keep experimenting with selections until you reach one that gets you a chat session or a telephone call and get the representative to redirect you.

So. To elaborate as I did every time I requested a refund which is not a lot. I bought a brand new Apple iPad Pro 13 inch and my next studio a month later January 2025. I downloaded da Vinci resolve for iPad because I had re-registered for school and I’m now seeking my masters. Well da Vinci resolve never let me finish a project. I never got done with the final edit it would freeze iPad. I would have to literally shut down open it back up turn it back on and I would have lost 70% of the edits that I had just done which took an hours. I then subsequently took the iPad back to the Apple Store that I purchased it from twice. They diagnosed it, checked it out, came to the conclusion that it was definitely the adventure resolved that was causing an issue. I knew that obviously well I ended up getting a brand new iPad. They won’t give me back the hundred dollars for da Vinci resolved for iPad. They told me it was up to da Vinci resolves manufacturer or dispenser whatever you wanna call him creator. Well, I’m pretty darn good at research and I got a hold of them and I got an email from them sitting and I had nothing to do with them that it was up to Apple. Apple still did not give me the refund. That was One elaboration number two state. I’m a DJ producer musician. I am now 50 years old and I pay for music. I pay for my music because I know how much effort and drive it takes to actually come to a complete and full production of one song. I had my MacBook pro from 2010. It finally took a dive on me. I could not update it anymore so I ended up buying a new one, but this time we got the max studio. Well, thank God for the cloud!! Lol because somehow someway, I can’t find the three 500 gauge hard drives full, I mean slap full of music! I have no idea where they went. I wouldn’t have I would not have thrown them away lol. Well in order to get my money back off of iTunes now Imusic I to download them that .WAV files. I I downloaded them and about a third of the songs that I purchased already. The iTunes came back as PACC files instead of just a C files which means they are protected!!. I contacted Apple the first I’d say three calls that had nothing to tell me nothing to do like I don’t know what to tell you I said what can I get a credit and read by the songs I already paid for them their answer was no. I called back again extremely frustrated because we’re talking about at least four or 500 bucks in music that I bought and paid for already. Well, I got told by a senior advisor who was talking to another senior advisor to download my music match. It would cost me $25 but then download all my files on my songs. Then cancel the subscription and call back in the next day and tell him what happened and I will get a refund every use it even though I was told Apple to do it!! Elaboration number three. I accidentally my fault did in fact hit the button for the “Animoog V” Application. I was just trying to check it out. You know how you can see what it is all about and they kind of tell you about it. You can see some clips and videos of the actual application in action. Lol I accidentally hit it. it was $29. I immediately within seconds deleted it off my phone and called Apple. They yet again refused the refund. And the appeal, however to be fair. I am quite happy with this application as I am a Synthhead and own two about three Moog Synthesizers. So if we do the math not counting all the little miscellaneous stuff that I definitely did not hit the button for like bits for twitch as the DJ themselves the artist make pennies Carol, I don’t know if you work for Apple. Frankly, it doesn’t really matter you’ve already given me the same answer that I’ve gotten from everybody at Apple, which is basically “Blank off, what are you gonna do about it”?!? I feel extremely violated! How does disabled person in front of God, the government and everybody. I feel violated taking advantage of and ran over by Apple. All these are facts I have all the documentation. Screenshots conversations. If Apple tries to assume me, I think that’ll be funny. Can’t get something from nothing lol. 😂😂😂😂 Carol thank you for responding. I appreciate you!!!
