Midi keyboard makes noise on key release in Garagaband

So I have a Casio LK-43 connected to a MacBook pro via the USB. When playing, every key release makes a bleep, error like noise in computer speakers or headphones. The noise is not recorded on the garageband track, but is impossible to play when every key release makes like an error bleep in ones ears.

Any suggestions to the cause or how to fix please?

Weird. Is the keyboard battery powered or AC powered? You might have a ground loop. If it is on AC, try battery only, either the keyboard or the MBP.

Thanks Keith, I found some other material that suggests it is a signal from the keyboard that can be eroded by turning the alerts off in Apple settings
