Why does the ‘delete message’ function keep shifting between top and bottom of screen in Mail?

Why does the ‘delete message’ function keep shifting between top and bottom of screen in Mail? Sometimes it appears at the bottom of the screen, and sometimes at the top. This has only started happening since iOS 26.2 was installed. It’s a bit inconvenient as I often just look at one area and wonder why delete hasn’t appeared and then realise it’s moved again. Thanks.
