Iwatch battery will not charge after most recent Apple update

Is anyone else having issues getting iwatch to charge after this latest update? Both my wife and my phone stopped charging last shortly after we loaded the most recent update. I have checked multiple outlets, using multiple Apple charging cords and charging heads, cleaned the backs of both watches, and tried forced starts on both (which never did bring up the Apple symbol). All I can get is the red lightning bolt symbol for low battery. Seems like possibly an Apple glitch this time.
