Unwanted background conversation being recorded as text message?

My iPhone 15 just started recording pieces of background conversation into an active text message conversation I was having. This only started happening after the most recent upgrade to 26.1 (which I'm having nothing but trouble with also). I've turned off "Enable Dictation" to temporarily stop it but I really want to use Dictation. Anyone else having this trouble and/or have a recommendation other than "go to a quieter place"?? Thanks!
