Once the one‑year limited warranty has expired, repairs like screen replacements are no longer covered unless you purchased AppleCare+.

Customers pay because the warranty only covers free repairs during the period, after which standard repair costs apply.

Regarding your situation, only a certified Apple technician can provide a solution.

Therefore, you’ll need to ⇢ Start a Service Request.

Did you install a screen "protector" or keyboard cover at some point? Both can cause damage to the factory display coating.

Using a camera cover, palm rest, or keyboard cover on a Mac notebook - Apple Support

Screen "protectors" often do more damage than they prevent. They have a nasty habit of taking some of the factory coating with them when removed. You either live with it, or get to enjoy springing over US$500 for a complete display assembly replacement. Your display is one sealed assembly. Individual components of that assembly cannot be individually replaced.

Not at all. I was already aware about tight clearance between keyboard and screen so I avoided any screen accessory. Moreover my mac is just lying on the table and i don't take it in bag or stuff either. I dont know why it automatically happened. It's visible under flashlight. When I talked to apple support they agreed that coating damage is covered and I should get it checked. I sent it for a mail in but they sent it back by "No Trouble found"

This is one of the problems with Apple Support......the one hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing. Contact Apple Support again & refer to your initial CaseID and ask them to have it repaired again.....this time with some sort of note for the mail-in repair depot.

Another option is to take it to an Apple Store, or an Apple Authorized Service Provider.......again refer them to your original CaseID.

FYI, even when Apple had a free repair program for this issue for the older 2013-2015 models, Apple did require the issue to affect usability.....if the issue was not severe enough, then they would not perform the free repair. This could be the case here as well.
