If you are in the UK FCP will cost £299.99.

You can also download it and use it free of charge for 90 days and whenever it receives an update you can download it again for another 90 days.

Final Cut Pro for Mac - Free Trial - Apple (UK)

Apple also sells Volume/Business licences which are discounted but according to this article it appears the discount is 0% as each seat costs , guess what . . . £299.99!
